gOmni-eyesh which appears in the advertisement of Ichikoh is not a mere imaginary vehicle. It is a concept model of Ichikohfs future technology equipped with omni-directional vision system which drastically improves the field of view of vehicles with advanced technologies, and it is a symbolic existence indicating the future direction of Ichikoh. gOmni-eyes concepth that Ichikoh proposes for the future is an omni-directional vision system which informs the driver regarding potential dangers within the omni-directional view by integrating and controlling multiple cameras in addition to driving environment adaptive Advanced Front-lighting system (AFS) and Advanced Rear-lighting System (ARS). It constantly monitors surrounding environment of a vehicle in 360 degrees through GPS and various sensor information, and contributes to safe driving by conveying the information to the driver through a driver seat monitor in a timely manner under any environmental circumstances.

Omni-eyes is a system which constantly monitors omni-directions of a vehicle by multiple cameras and informs the situation to the driver. Four stereo CCD cameras mounted on the roof monitors omni-directions, and a pair of cameras installed on the door mirrors rotate toward the front and the rear to secure the view in the left and right side directions as necessary. It realizes optimum light distribution under any circumstances with various features such as the cornering mode, which optimally controls left and right light distribution by linking to the steering operation, and the rain mode, which prevents the light on the pavement to be eflected against the on-coming vehicle by detecting the rain.

Under the normal braking situation, nothing special. In the case of a panic braking, however, auto flickering in 7 hertz informs the vehicle behind you about the situation. Furthermore, in case the vehicle behind you suddenly approaches you, the sensor will detect it and appeals to the vehicle behind you by auto flickering. It displays on the head-up display a ghuman beingh or other object having its own body temperature which is at a distance and difficult to be seen with the low beam. Because far distance from the vehicle is irradiated with an infrared, which cannot be seen by human eyes, a distant situation can be observed without dazzling the driver of the on-coming vehicle.

It receives GPS signal and information from various driving support systems (ITSEDSRC) to provide necessary information to the driver, and also supports fine control of the AFS based on the width or the size of a curb.

New technology is about to focus on a new business field

ICHIKOH luminous intensity distribution simulation system

The latest free surface head lamp and HID head lamp are all created from this system. Today, when CAD/CAM systems are very popular, many metal dies are already being manufactured automatically by NC machine tools.
If design is generated as CAD data and fed to NC machine tool, dies are carved out automatically.
On the other hand, troublesome processes of testing the completed die, tuning the die several times, and repeating the test each time are often seen in various manufacturing shops.
By using this head lamp design program, however, highly accurate simulation can be conducted without a prototype.
Defects which may otherwise be found after completion can be corrected at the design stage.
By this approach, initial study in high accuracy can be made without making a prototype, and minor changes can be accommodated within a short period of time, thus the total development cost can be significantly reduced.
