We are proud of our large domestic market shares, 27% for automotive lamps and 34% for mirrors, supported by our own unique R&D capability which enabled us to introduce Japan's first projector head lamp, world's first power foldaway mirror, and HID lamp which is attracting attention as the next generation light source.
Ichikoh Manufacturing, Inc.was established in Kentucky, USA, in 1987, Ichikoh (Malaysia) Sdn. Bnd. in 1990 and P.T.Ichikoh Indonesia in 1997. In the year of 2000, we entered into a comprehensive agreement with Valeo (France), for lighting business.
We are actively promoting business in the international market with customers like American Big3. Our R&D oriented management policy leads the company to markets outside of the automotive industry, and,attractive new products are being created one after another, including rearview camera system utilizing ultra small camera, discharge head lamp employed for use on the new model Akita Shinkansen and LCD monitor which operates on an entirely new principle. Thus, we are constantly working on the creation of a corporation compatible to the new era, and we are making efforts for creation of fresh working enviorment through strengthening the R&D organization and increasing employees dispatched overseas.
